Honeymoon RegistryWhat is a Honeymoon RegistryA honeymoon registry works similarly to any other gift registry. When you book your honeymoon with us, we can setup a registry of options for your guests to purchase for you, to enhance your honeymoon. Activities are perfect registry items. Let's say your have a honeymoon booked on Maui. Some good things to add to your registry might be a snorkeling cruise for two, tickets to the Maui Ocean Center, a dinner cruise, and a helicopter ride. Other things you can request on your registry are upgrades to First Class, and better room categories. Your guests can then purchase these things as wedding gifts for you. So How Does It WorkAfter you book your honeymoon or destination wedding, call us and state that you want to setup a registry. We will work with you to select items that will go on your registry. You can pick and choose whatever you want, and as many things as you want. We will then post your registry on our website for your guests to visit. For those guests that do not have access to the web, we will also keep a hard copy on our office, and use the fax or mail to communicate your registry options. Your guests will then contact us, and let us know if they would like to purchase something for you from your registry. When they do, we will update your honeymoon, and your registry. When we send your travel documents, we will include an envelope with one registry certificate for each person who bought you something for your honeymoon. You may choose to open it then, or save it for your destination wedding in Hawaii. How a Honeymoon Registry is DifferentIn most cases, your honeymoon registry will work just like any other gift registry. However, since we're dealing with travel related items, there will be some differences. First of all, most travel related items are very time sensitive. It is therefore recommended that your guests buy the the items on your registry as early as possible. Also because of limited availability, it may be the case that your guest wishes to purchase something, just to find out that it's sold out, or the price has changed. Finally, there may be the case where you will know about your gift before your wedding, for coordination purposes. For instance, if somebody buys you a helicopter ride, we will need your height and weight ahead of time. Even without telling you what it's for, it's easy to guess at that point. It will at least raise suspicion. |
